Tom Shearer

Tom Shearer is the Broker/Owner of Royal LePage Noralta Real Estate. The brokerage was founded in 1999 by his father, Kenneth Wayne Shearer. Tom has been in real estate since 2000, first as an agent and later as the leader of the brokerage his family built.

In 2024, Royal LePage Noralta was named the Royal LePage Prairies Brokerage of the Year, recognizing leadership, growth and performance across the Royal LePage network. Today, Noralta has more than 175 agents across four offices in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove and Fort Saskatchewan.

Tom's approach to brokerage leadership is straightforward. His job is to remove the friction from the agent's work, not by doing the work for them, but by building the systems, support and infrastructure that allow agents to spend more of their energy on clients and on building their businesses.

Before real estate, Tom competed at the national level in multiple sports. He trained for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics as a member of Canada's national sailing team in the Tornado Catamaran class. He also competed in alpine skiing and cross-country running. He completed a Management Studies diploma from Grant MacEwan and worked as a sailing instructor, ski resort supervisor and restaurant manager before entering real estate.

Tom grew up in Laurier Heights and lives in Edmonton with his wife and four children. He still sails when he can and skis every chance he gets.
