Born and raised in Edmonton’s vibrant Laurier Heights neighborhood, Tom Shearer embodies the spirit of dedication, integrity, and community leadership that defines Royal LePage Noralta. His path — marked by elite competition, business acumen, and a deep-rooted love for his city — laid the foundation for his role as the brokerage’s proud and respected owner.
Before stepping into leadership, Tom Shearer established himself as one of Royal LePage’s most consistently high-performing agents. During his successful sales career, he earned virtually every major award available at the time, consistently placing among the top tier nationally. His transition to brokerage leadership, a move that predated the introduction of today’s Ruby and Diamond award levels, reflects his forward-thinking dedication to Noralta’s continued growth and innovation.
Tom’s early life was equally driven. A competitive athlete, he ran cross country, raced alpine skis, and represented Canada on the national sailing team, training for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics in the Tornado Catamaran class. These high-performance experiences shaped his discipline, strategy, and resilience — qualities that continue to guide his leadership today.
Before entering real estate, Tom worked as a sailing instructor, ski resort supervisor, and restaurant manager at one of Edmonton’s busiest venues. He later completed a Management Studies diploma from Grant MacEwan, bringing both operational expertise and formal business training into his career.
As the Broker/Owner of Royal LePage Noralta, Tom leads with clarity, care, and a commitment to agent success. Under his guidance, Noralta has grown into a trusted, high-performance brokerage known for mentorship, community involvement, and forward-thinking systems.
In 2024, Royal LePage Noralta was named the Prairies A.E. LePage Brokerage of the Year — a prestigious award recognizing leadership, engagement, growth, and performance across all five regions of Royal LePage Canada. Tom’s vision and steady leadership were central to this achievement, reinforcing Noralta’s position as a brokerage that leads with heart and purpose.
He now lives in Edmonton with his wife, three daughters, and a son. He still sails when he can, skis every chance he gets, and brings the same energy to Noralta that once powered him across finish lines. His leadership philosophy is simple. Strong relationships.
